Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels March 1971 concert flyer


Original double-sided first printing concert flyer advertising American jazz vibraphonist, pianist, percussionist, and bandleader Lionel Hampton at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels [Belgium] on Friday, 5th March, 1971. Hampton was touring Europe with his All Star Jazz Inner Circle starring tenor saxophonist Illinois Jacquet and pianist and organist Milt Buckner, but also featuring tenor saxophonist Chuck McClendon, alto saxophonist Tommy Gambino, bassist Eustis Guillemet, clarinetist Bob Snyder, drummer Kenny Bolds, guitarist Billy Mackel, trumpeter Roland Connors, and organist John Spruill. The concert four days later at the Salle Pleyel in Paris (9th March) was recorded and subsequently released in 1992 by Disques Trema.

The flyer measures 11.9 x 18.0 cm (approx. 4.7″ by 7.1″ inches) and is printed in pink and black inks on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock.. In excellent unfolded condition.
