Alhambra, Paris October 1959 concert program

Original vintage concert program produced for American clarinetist and bandleader Benny Goodman’s two concerts at the Alhambra in Paris [France] on 5th and 6th October, 1959, presented by Claude Giraud. Goodman’s ensemble for the 1959 European tour included singer Anita O’Day, vibraphonist Red Norvo, trombonist Bill Harris, tenor saxophonist Flip Phillips, pianist Russ Freeman, saxophonist and flautist Jerry Dodgion, trumpeter Jack Shelson, bassist Red Wootten, drummer John Poole, and guitarist Jimmy Wyble. The program has been authentically signed by Anita O’Day, Red Wooten, Jimmy Wyble, John Poole, and Flip Phillips. John Markham is listed in the program as the drummer, but he was replaced by Poole for the European tour.

In original red and black pictorial matte-coated wrappers, staple bound, 20.9 x 26.9 cm, 16 pp. All text in French.
