Jahrhunderthalle, Frankfurt March 1971 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising American clarinetist and bandleader Benny Goodman at the Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt [Germany] on Sunday, 7th March, 1971, presented by Heinz Hoffmeister. The concert in Frankfurt was part of a 10-date German tour, commencing at the Oberschwabenhalle in Ravensburg on 5th March and ending at the Sportpalast in Berlin on 20th March, 1971. Goodman’s band for the European tour featured pianist Bill McGuffie, drummer Bobby Orr, trumpeter John McLevy, tenor saxophonist Bob Efford, trombonist Keith Christie, bassist Lennie Bush, guitarist Louis Stewart, alto saxophonist Bob Burns, and tenor saxophonist John Walton.

The poster measures 86.5 x 61.3 cm (approx. 34″ by 24.1″ inches) and is beautifully printed in red and black inks on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. Small diagonal crease to the bottom right corner and a closed rip to the bottom border. Else in near excellent unfolded condition.
