Large original first printing concert poster advertising American jazz/soul guitarist and singer George Benson at the Jaap Edenhal in Amsterdam [Holland] on Wednesday, 31st May, 1978, in support of Weekend in L.A. — a live album recorded at the Roxy Theater in West Hollywood during September and October 1977. Produced by the late Tommy LiPuma, and released on Warner Bros. Records, the album was certified Platinum by the RIAA. The album was recorded with German conductor Claus Ogerman, and the live take of “On Broadway”, hitting #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #2 on the soul chart, won him a Grammy.
The poster measures 82.7 x 114.4 cm (approx. 32.6″ by 45″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, uncoated paper stock. In near excellent unfolded and unmarked condition. Additional photos available on request.
