Cirque Royal, Brussels October 1975 concert program
Original vintage concert program for the JAZZ FROM NEWPORT event staged at the Cirque Royal in Brussels [Belgium] from 30th to 31st October, 1975. Performing artists included Earl Hines, Benny Carter, Sarah Vaughan, Charles Mingus, and an ensemble featuring trumpeters Ruby Braff, Pee Wee Erwin, Joe Newman, and Jimmy Maxwell, drummer Bobby Rosengarden, and clarinetist Kenny Davern, celebrating the music of Louis Armstrong. For the European tour, Sarah Vaughan was presumably accompanied by pianist Carl Schroeder, bassist Bob Magnusson, and drummer Jimmy Cobb.
In original multi-colored pictorial wrappers, staple bound, 13.8 x 18.0 cm, 20 pp. Bilingual edition with text in both French and Flemish. In excellent condition, tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
