Grugahalle, Essen March 1979 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising American R&B group Earth, Wind and Fire at the Grugahalle in Essen [Germany] on Saturday, 10th March, 1979, presented by Fritz Rau and Michael Scheller. EWF were touring Europe in support of the Best of Earth, Wind & Fire, Vol. 1 compilation album, produced by Maurice White and Charles Stepney, and released on 23rd November, 1978 on ARC Records. Containing the singles “Got to Get You into My Life” and “September”, the album peaked at #6 on the Billboard 200 and has since been certified Quintuple Platinum in the USA by the RIAA.
