November 1965 European concert tour program (Michel+Kieser)

Original vintage concert program for The Dizzy Gillespie Quintet and The Jimmy Smith Trio’s joint November 1965 European tour, presented by German impresarios Horst Lippmann and Fritz Rau in association with Norman Granz. Dizzy’s Quintet for the European tour included Kenny Baron (piano), Christopher Wesley White (bass), James Moody (sax/flute), and Rudy Collins (drums). Jimmy Smith was accompanied  by drummer Billy Hart and guitarist Quentin Warren. The program has been authentically signed by the great Jimmy Smith next to his photo on page 11. The program features delicate graphic work and design by noted German duo, Hans Michel & Günther Kieser.

In original pictorial matte-coated wrappers, perfect bound, 27.6 x 25.6 cm, 16 pp. Program notes in English. One loose sheet with program notes translated into German, laid in. In near excellent condition, tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
