Deutsches Museum, Munich May 1982 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising American jazz-fusion guitarist Al Di Meola at the Deutsches Museum in Munich [Germany] on Monday, 24th May, 1982, presented by Sunrise in cooperation with Kipka Management. The concert in Munich was part of Di Meola’s European tour during May in support of the Electric Rendezvous album – his fifth solo studio album, produced by Di Meola himself with Dennis Mackay, and released in early 1982 by Columbia Records. The album features flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucía on “Passion, Grace & Fire”. The album peaked at #55 on the Billboard 200 and #3 on the Billboard Top Jazz Albums chart. His band for the European tour included keyboardist Jan Hammer, bassist Anthony Jackson, drummer Steve Gadd, and percussionist Mingo Lewis.
The poster measures 59.4 x 83.8 cm (approx. 23.4″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. Folded thrice with some edge wear to the upper right side border.
