Kongreßhalle, Frankfurt September 1971 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising American rock group Creedence Clearwater Revival’s two performances at the Kongreßhalle in Frankfurt [Germany] on Monday, 13th September, 1971, presented by Lippmann+Rau. The shows in Frankfurt were part of CCR’s Fall 1971 European tour in support of the Pendulum album. Recorded at San Francisco’s Wally Heider Studios and produced by John Fogerty, the album was released on 7th December, 1970 on Fantasy Records. This was the band’s sixth album and also the final CCR album to feature guitarist Tom Fogerty, who left the group in February 1971 to start a solo career. As the poster suggests, CCR continued as a trio. Containing the hit singles “Hey Tonight” and “Have You Ever Seen The Rain”, the album was a commercial success reaching #5 on the Billboard 200.

The poster measures 59.8 x 83.8 cm (approx. 23.5″ by 33 inches”) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. Tiny rip to the bottom border and a touch of very light handling wear, else in remarkably near excellent unfolded condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
