Philharmonie, Berlin November 1969 advertising brochure

Original vintage tri-fold brochure advertising the 1969 Berliner Jazz Tage staged at the Philharmonie in Berlin [Germany] from 6th to 9th November, 1969, presented and produced by Ralf-Schulte-Bahrenberg. The first day of the festival was a tribute to Duke Ellington called “Piano for Duke”, and featured Joe Turner, Lennie Tristano, Thelonious Monk, Joachim Kühn, and Cecil Taylor. Day two featured the Dave Pike Set with Volker Kriegel, the John Surman Group, Stan Kenton and the Berlin Dream Band, and the new Miles Davis Quintet

The festival was recorded by the RTF, the French national public broadcasting organization.

Original black and white pictorial tri-fold brochure, 10.6 x 20.5 cm (folded), 8 pp. All text in German. In excellent unmarked condition. Additional images of the brochure available on request.
