1983 Japanese Duck Records/Warner-Pioneer Corporation promotional poster for “Money and Cigarettes

Large original first printing Eric Clapton promotional poster issued by Duck Records/Warner-Pioneer Corporation in Japan in 1983 to promote the release of the Money and Cigarettes album – his eighth solo studio album, produced by Tom Dowd, and originally released on 31st January, 1983 on Clapton’s own Duck Records. It was Clapton’s debut release on his own Duck imprint within Warner Bros.’ Reprise Records subsidiary. Containing the singles “I’ve Got a Rock ‘n’ Roll Heart” and “The Shape You’re In”, the album was a moderate commercial success. It reached #16 on the Billboard 200 and stayed on the chart for 18 weeks, while it peaked at #13 on the UK Album Chart. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
