Stadtpark, Hamburg July 1992 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising American singer and musician Ray Charles (1930–2004) at the Stadtpark in Hamburg [Germany] on Wednesday, 8th July, 1992, presented by Karsten Jahnke, and with American jazz singer Nancy Wilson as special guests. The show in Hamburg was part of a 15-date European tour during July, commencing at Gröna Lund in Stockholm on 1st July and ending at the Rudi Sedlmayer Halle in Munich on 22nd July, 1992. By this time tha Raeletts featured Trudy Cohran, Pamela Diggs, Paula Moye, Angela Workman, and Estella Yarbrough. Nancy Wilson was touring Europe in support of With My Lover Beside Me – a studio album released by Columbia Records, featuring songs composed by Barry Manilow and lyrics written by Johnny Mercer. The album peaked at #4 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Albums chart.
The poster measures 59.3 x 83.9 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 33″ inches) and is printed on thin, coated paper stock. In excellent unfolded condition, with a tiny rip to the center of the left side border.
