September 1964 Australian concert tour program (1st Australian Tour)
Original vintage concert program produced for Ray Charles and The Raeletts’ September 1964 Australian tour, presented by Kym Bonython by arrangement with Henri Goldgran. The 4-date tour consisted of two consecutive shows at the Festival Hall in Melbourne on 1st and 2nd September and two consecutive shows at the Sydney Stadium in Sydney on 4th and 5th September. It was Charles’ first tour of Australia.
In original pink illustrated coated wrappers, staple bound, 21.3 x 27.4 cm, 16 pp. Programme notes by jazz critic Benny Green. In excellent complete condition, tightly bound and clean.
