Original vintage concert program produced for American drummer and band leader Buddy Rich’s nationwide tour of Great Britain during March 1981. Presented by Brian Theobald for Ronnie Scott Directions, the tour commenced at the Festival Theatre in Chichester on 1st March and ended with two concerts at Ronnie Scott’s Club in London on 23rd and 28th March.The touring band featured Steve Marcus, Ralf Lalama, Dave D’Angelo, Andy Fusco, Keith Bishop (saxophones); Simo Salmien, Vincent Cutro, Steve Swanson, Wayman Reed (trumpets); Glenn Franke, Sal Randazzo, Peter Beltran (trumpets); David Lalama (piano); and Ed Sterbenz (bass). For the first time, the orchestra also featured a four-girl singing group, Zee. One of the members was Cathy Rich, the daughter of Buddy Rich. Original ticket for the concert at the Odeon Theatre in Birmingham on Monday, 16th March, 1981, laid in.
In original pictorial matte-coated wrappers, staple bound, 20.8 x 29.7 cm, 20 pp. In excellent condition, tightly bound and clean. Additional images of the program available on request.
