Friedrich Ebert Halle, Ludwigshafen May 1978 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising American rock group Blue Öyster Cult at the Friedrich Ebert Halle in Ludwigshafen [Germany] on Monday, 15th May, 1978, presented by MAMA Concerts, and with Johnny Cougar as special guest. The concert in Ludwigshafen was part of four-date German tour during May in support of the Spectres album, commencing at the Hemmerleinhalle in Neunkirchen on 14th May and ending at the Stadthalle in Offenbach on 18th May, 1978. Recorded at the Record Plant in New York during July and September 1977, Spectres was produced by Murray Krugman, Sandy Pearlman and David Lucas. Released in November 1977 by Columbia Records, it was the band’s fifth studio album. Containing the hits “Godzilla”, “Death Valley Nights” and “R.U. Ready 2 Rock”, the album reached #43 on the Billboard 200, and was certified gold in January 1978 by the RIAA.

The poster measures 59.2 x 83.7 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. In excellent unfolded condition.
