Late 1970s Japanese Blue Note/King Records promo poster
Original first printing Blue Note promotional poster, displaying classic releases by John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Clifford Brown, Horace Silver, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Paul Chambers, Lee Morgan, Art Blakey, Sonny Clark, Cannonball Adderley, Curtis Fuller, Jackie McLean, Donald Byrd, Sonny Rollins, Jay Jay Johnson, Anthony Williams, and Freddie Hubbard. The poster was issued by King Records, who overtook the manufacturing rights of the Blue Note catalog in Japan from Toshiba EMI in 1977. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
The poster measures 48.6 x 71.9 cm (approx. 19.1″ by 28.3″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. In remarkably near excellent unfolded condition.
