Centre Culturel et Artistique d’Uccle, Brussels March 1962 concert flyer


Original first printing concert flyer advertising the Lou Bennett Trio and the Alex Scorrier Sextet at the Centre Culturel et Artistique d’Uccle in Brussels [Belgium] on Monday, 26th March, 1962, presented by L’Association Culturelle et Artisque. Lou Bennett moved to Paris in 1960. There he recorded and performed at the Blue Note with Jimmy Gourley and Kenny Clarke, and recorded in the 1960s with guitarist Philip Catherine, singer Shirley Bunnie Foy and Italian drummer Franco Manzecchi.  In the 1980s he played in his own quintet with Gerard Badini among others. Bennett died in Paris on 10th February, 1997.

The flyer measures 9.8 x 14.3 cm (approx. 3.9″ by 5.6″ inches) and is beautifully printed in orange and black inks on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock.
