Teatro Politeama, Naples October 1949 concert program
Original vintage concert program for Louis Armstrong’s two performances at the Teatro Politeama in Naples [Italy] on Sunday, 30th October, 1949, with the classic All Star line-up of Barney Bigard, Arvell Shaw, Velma Middleton, Cozy Cole, Jack Teagarden and Earl Hines. The day before in Rome Armstrong had a private audience with Pope Pius XII.
In original pictorial uncoated wrappers, 12.5 x 17.1 cm, delicate fold-out design with 12 pp. All text in Italian. Faint vertical crease running down the middle, else near fine, clean and unmarked. Additional photos available on request.
