1979 Japanese Discomate Records promo poster for “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!”
Original first printing ABBA promotional poster issued by Discomate Records in Japan in 1979 to promote the release of the “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” single, produced byBenny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, and released on 12th October, 1979 in order to help promote their North American and European tour of that year. The song was also released on ABBA’s Greatest Hits Vol. 2 compilation album as the brand new track. Written and composed by Andersson and Ulvaeus, with the lead vocal by Agnetha Fältskog. The poster features a striking photo credited to Ola Lager. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
The poster measures 51.3 x 72.5 cm (approx. 20.2″ by 28.5″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. Very light sporadic edge wear, else in excellent unfolded condition.
