Ostseehalle, Kiel August 1953 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising American pianist, composer and arranger Stan Kenton (1911–1979) at the Ostseehalle in Kiel [Germany] on Tuesday, 25th August, 1953, presented by Heinz Hoffmeister. Kenton’s orchestra at the time interestingly included Zoot Sims, Lee Konitz and June Christy.
The poster measures 58.6 x 84.8 cm and is beautifully printed in yellow, red and black inks on thin, uncoated paper stock. Neatly folded with a number of pin holes to the corners as well as light overall surface handling wear. Additional photos available on request.
