1980 Japanese CBS/Sony Inc. promo poster for “Glass Houses”
Large original first printing Billy Joel promotional poster issued by CBS/Sony Inc. in Japan in 1980 to promote the release of the Glass Houses album – his seventh studio album, produced by Phil Ramone, and originally released on 12th March, 1980 on Columbia Records. Containing the hit single “It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me”, the album was a huge commercial success, reaching #1 on the Billboard 200. Glass Houses is the 41st best selling album of the 1980s and was certified 7x Platinum by the RIAA for sales exceeding seven million copies in the US alone! The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
