Stadthalle, Erlangen June 1979 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising British rock group Whitesnake at the Stadthalle in Erlangen [Germany] on Sunday, 3rd June, 1979. Presented by Rainer Hänsel, the show was part of Whitesnake’s Summer 1979 tour in support of the Trouble album. Recorded at Central Recorders Studio in London under the guidance of heavy metal producer Martin Birch, Trouble was released in October 1978. This was the band’s first studio album and the first to feature Coverdale’s bandmate from Deep Purple, Jon Lord. The rest of the band at the time consisted of Micky Moody (guitar), Bernie Marsden (guitar), Neil Murray (bass), and Dave Dowle (drums).
The poster measures 59.3 x 83.8 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition.
