Yubin Chokin Kaikan, Tokyo January 1983 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising the Kenny Drew Trio at the Yubin Chokin Kaikan in Tokyo [Japan] on Monday, 31st January, 1983, with trumpeter and flugelhorn player Clark Terry. Besides the leader himself, the trio featured bassist Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen and drummer Ed Thigpen. With this line-up, along with members of the Royal Danish Chamber Orchestra, Drew recorded the Moonlit Desert album for the Japanese Baystate label. The trio with Pedersen and Thigpen lasted until 1987, when Thigpen was replaced with American-born Swiss drummer Alvin Queen.
