Royal Albert Hall, London January 1953 concert program

Original vintage concert program for American jazz singer Sarah Vaughan’s performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Saturday, 31st January, 1953, presented by Maurice Kinn Entertainments by arrangement with Harold Davison and John Gordon. Billed as “The Voice of the Century”, Vaughan was accompanied by pianist John Malichi (1919—1987). For what it’s worth, Malachi is credited with creating the nickname “Sassy” for Sarah Vaughan.

In original pictorial uncoated wrappers, single staple bound, 13.9 x 22.3 cm, 12 pp. Staple is a little rusty and a number of pencil markings to the program selection. Additional photos available on request.
