Stadthalle, Bremen April 1988 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising American musician, composer, and bandleader Frank Zappa (1940–1993) at the Stadthalle in Bremen [Germany] on Sunday, 24th April, 1988, presented by Sunrise. The show in Bremen was part of the “Broadway the Hard Way” European tour during April, May and June in support of the Guitar album — a follow-up to 1981’s Shut Up ‘n Play Yer Guitar. The tour kicked off at Le Stadium in Bourges on 9th April and ended at the Palasport in Genoa on 9th June, 1988, and turned out to be Zappa’s last. The live album, Broadway the Hard Way, released in October 1988, was recorded at various performances along the 1988 world tour.
The poster measures 59.3 x 83.8 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. Neatly folded thrice, with light overall surface handling wear.
