Eissporthalle, Berlin June 1983 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising English singer, songwriter and musician Steve Winwood at the Eissporthalle in Berlin [Germany] on Tuesday, 7th June, 1983, presented by Sunrise Concertbüro in cooperation with Alec Lesley. The concert in Berlin was part of Winwood’s 24-date tour of continental Europe during May and June, in support of the Talking Back to the Night album, commencing at the Stadio Comunale in Florence on 27th May and ending with two shows at the Kongresshaus in Zürich on 28th and 29th June, 1983. Recorded at Netherturkdonic Studios in Gloucestershire and produced by Winwood himself , the album was released on 2nd August, 1982 on Island Records. Talking Back to the Night was his third studio album and Winwood performed all of the instruments on the album. Containing the hit single “Valerie”, the album reached #28 on the Billboard 200.
