Musikhalle, Hamburg September 1972 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising The New Seekers at the Musikhalle in Hamburg [Germany] on Tuesday, 19th September, 1972, presented by Karsten Jahnke. Formed in 1969 by Keith Potger after the break-up of his group, The Seekers, the idea was that the New Seekers would appeal to the same market as the original Seekers, but their music had rock as well as folk influences. They achieved worldwide success in the early 1970s with hits including “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing”, “You Won’t Fink Another Fool Like Me”, and “Beg, Steal or Borrow”.

The poster measures 59.4 x 83.9 cm (approx. 23.4″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. There is a faint horizontal fold to the middle, else in remarkably near excellent condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
