1978 Japanese Warner-Pioneer Corporation promo poster for “Blondes Have More Fun”
Large original first printing Rod Stewart promotional poster issued by Warner-Pioneer Corporation in Japan in 1978 to promote the release of the Blondes Have More Fun album – his ninth studio album, produced by Tom Dowd, and originally released oin November 1978 on Riva Records. Containing the #1 hit single “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?”, the album was a huge commercial success and reached #1 on the Billboard 200 in December 1978. It stayed on the charts for 37 weeks and was certified 3x Platinum in October 1984 by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for sales exceeding three million copies in the US alone. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
The poster measures 72.7 x 102.8 cm (approx. 28.6″ by 40.5″ inches) and is beautifully printed on medium-thin, coated paper stock.
