Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, London November/December 1962 concert flyer

Original first printing concert handbill advertising American tenor saxophonist Zoot Sims’ (1925–1985) three week engagement at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London commencing on Friday, 30th November, 1962. For the second two weeks Sims was joined by fellow saxophonist Al Cohn (1925–1988). In his book Some of My Best Friends Are Blues (1979), Ronnie Scott said: “If I had to name one musician whose playing exemplified the soaring spirit of freewheeling, therapeutic jazz, it would be John haley ‘Zoot’ Sims.”

The flyer measures 13.2 x 20.9 cm (approx. 5.2″ by 8.2″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. In near excellent unfolded condition with minimal handling wear. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the flyer available on request.
