Large original first printing concert poster advertising American rock group Santana at the Preussag Arena in Hannover [Germany] on Thursday, 8th June, 2000, presented by MAMA Concerts & Rau, and with Senegalese band Touré Kunda as special guests. The concert in Hannover was part of their 22-date European tour during May and June in support of the Supernatural album – their eighteenth studio album, produced by Carlos Santana and Clive Davis, and released on 15th June, 1999 on Arista Records. The album features collaborations with several contemporary guest artists, including Rob Thomas, Eric Clapton, Eagle-Eye Cherry, Lauryn Hill, Dave Matthews, Maná, and CeeLo Green. Supernatural was a huge commercial success worldwide, generating renewed interest in Santana’s music. It reached #1 in eleven countries, including the US for 12 non-consecutive weeks, where it is certified 15x Platinum. The first of six singles from the album, “Smooth” featuring singer Rob Thomas, was a number one success worldwide and topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 12 weeks. The next, “Maria Maria”, featuring the Product G&B, was number one in the US for 10 weeks. Supernatural is Santana’s best-selling album to date, and one of the best-selling albums in the world. It has sold 30 million copies worldwide, with over 13 million copies sold in the United States alone.
