Metropol, Berlin December 1992 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising American alto saxophonist David Sanborn at the Metropol in Berlin [Germany] on Sunday, 6th December, 1992, presented by Marcel Avram and Fritz Rau. The concert in Berlin was part of Sanborn’s German tour during December in support of the Upfront album – his sixteenth album, produced by Marcus Miller and released on 28th April, 1992 by Elektra Records. Interestingly the album took a focus on other instruments instead of the saxophone being the prime instrument. Instruments such as the organ, drums, and guitar all play a role on this album. Some key musicians collaborated with Sanborn on this album including Eric Clapton, William Spaceman Patterson, John Purcell, Marcus Miller, Ricky Peterson, and Steve Jordan.

The poster measures 83.7 x 59.2 cm (approx. 33″ by 23.2″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. Folded with light wear along the fold lines. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
