Original vintage program book produced for the 1978 North Sea Jazz Festival staged at the Congresgebouw in The Hague [Holland] from 14th to 16th July, 1978, presented by Paul Acket. This was the third year of the festival and performing artists included Lionel Hampton, McCoy Tyner, Monty Alexander, Carla Bley, Freddie Hubbard, Sonny Rollins, Esther Phillips, Art Blakey, Lee Konitz, Bill Evans, Elvin Jones, Kai Winding, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Ella Fitzgerald, Tommy Flanagan, Buddy Rich, Gil Evans, Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz, Etta James, Mary Lou Williams, Kenny Burrell, Jonah Jones, Dickie Wells, James Booker, Ornette Coleman, Count basie, Oscar Peterson, Archie Sheep, Illinois Jacquet, Betty Carter, Max Roach, Professor Longhair, Clark Terry and many, many more. The North Sea Jazz Festival was created by Dutch impressario Paul Acket, who wanted to present American jazz and European avant-garde jazz to a broader public. Since its start in 1976, the festival has become one of the most prestigious jazz festivals in the world.

In original typographical matte-coated wrappers, perfect bound, 21.0 x 29.7 cm, 80 pp. Bilingual edition with text in both Dutch and English. In excellent unmarked condition, tightly bound and clean. Appears unread. Additional images of the program available on request.
