Original first printing concert poster advertising American singer-songwriter, arranger and composer Randy Newman at the Circus Krone in Munich [Germany] on Wednesday, 7th November, 1979, presented by MAMA Concerts. Newman was touring Europe in support of the Born Again album — his sixth studio album, produced by Lenny Waronker and Russ Titelman, and released in August 1979 by Warner Bros. The album received little sales and relatively poor reviews, which surprised Newman. He had expected it to be a hit, instead it sold relatively poorly, with worse reviews than its predecessor, Little Criminals (1977). Mark Deming in his AllMusic review called it “the weakest non-soundtrack album of Randy Newman’s career.”
