Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels March 1963 concert program

Original vintage concert program produced for American jazz pianist and composer Thelonious Monk at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels [Belgium] on Sunday, 10th March, 1963, accompanied by Charlie Rouse (tenor), John Orr (bass), and Frankie Dunlop (drums). Presented by Le Société Philharmonique de Bruxelles, this was Monk’s first visit to Belgium. The program has been authentically signed in blue ink by the entire quartet. Monk and Frankie Dunlop both signed on the back cover, while Charlie Rouse and John Ore signed next to their respective biographies. The program features delicate artwork by Manfred Hürrig, with his imprint to the top right corner on back cover.

In original purple and black pictorial, matte-coated wrappers, staple bound, 14.9 x 12.9 cm, 12 pp. Program notes in French by Carlos de Radzitzky. Light wear to spine and extremities, else in near excellent, clean condition. Additional images of the program available on request.
