Niedersachsenhalle in Hannover April 1974 concert poster
Large original first printing concert poster advertising Manfred Mann’s Earth Bnad at the Niedersachsenhalle in Hannover [Germany] on Saturday, 13th April, 1974, with Camel and Steeleye Span also on the bill. Presented by Sunrise Concertbüro, the show was part of the band’s Spring 1974 European tour in support of the Solar Fire album. Recorded at The Workhouse in London and released on 30th November 1973, this was the band’s fourth studio album and featured a wonderful rendition of Bob Dylan’s “Father of Night”, which was controversial in Mann’s native South Africa because of the “Father of black, father of white” line.
The poster measures 60.8 x 86.0 cm (approx. 23.9″ by 33.8″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. There are a couple of tiny pin holes to each corner, else in remarkably near excellent unfolded condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item.
