Alhambra Casino, Paris February 1967 concert poster

Unique, one of a kind, original vintage first printing concert poster advertising jazz organist Lou Bennett (1926—1997) and drummer Kenny Clarke (1914—1985) at the Alhambra Casino in Paris [France] on Saturday, 18th February, 1967, accompanied by American jazz guitarist Jimmy Gourley (1926—2008). Bennett started out playing bebop on piano, but started playing organ in 1956 after hearing Jimmy Smith. He moved to Paris in 1960 where he recorded and performed at the Blue Note with Gourley and Clarke, as well as Belgian guitarist Rene Thomas. He returned to America only once, for the 1964 Newport Jazz Festival.

The poster measures 44.1 x 67.6 cm (approx.  17.4″ by 26.6″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, uncoated paper stock. The poster has been folded with a fair amount of overall wear as well as tears along the borders. Additional photos available on request.
