Royal Festival Hall/Hammersmith Odeon October/November 1969 concert program 


Original vintage program book for the Jazz Expo ’69 event which took place at the Royal Festival Hall in London and at the Odeon Theatre in Hammersmith from 25th October to 1st November, 1969. Billed as “The Newport Jazz Festival in London” and presented by Harold Davison, George Wein and Jack Higgins, the performing artists included Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Mary Lou Williams, Thelonious Monk, Sarah Vaughan, Cecil Taylor, John Lee Hooker, Champion Jack Dupree, Otis Spann, Albert King, Lionel Hampton, Teddy Wilson, Bill Coleman, Albert Nicholas, Gary Burton, Kenny Clarke, Francy Boland, and many more.

In original pink and black pictorial wrappers, staple bound, 20.9 x 25.7 cm, 36 pp. Program notes by Benny Green. Wrappers slightly rubbed with light wear to spine and extremities, else tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
