Capitole, Bordeaux March 1971 concert flyer


Original first printing concert flyer American jazz vibraphonist, pianist, percussionist, and bandleader Lionel Hampton (1908–2002) at the Capitole in Bordeaux [France] on Friday, 19th March, 1971. Hampton was touring Europe with his All Star Jazz Inner Circle starring tenor saxophonist Illinois Jacquet and pianist and organist Milt Buckner, but also featuring tenor saxophonist Chuck McClendon, alto saxophonist Tommy Gambino, bassist Eustis Guillemet, clarinetist Bob Snyder, drummer Kenny Bolds, guitarist Billy Mackel, trumpeter Roland Connors, and organist John Spruill. The concert at the Salle Pleyel in Paris on 9th March was recorded and subsequently released in 1992 by Disques Trema.

The flyer measures 22.1 x 13.9 cm (approx. 8.7″ by 5.5″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock.
