Liege & Brussels, Belgium March 1955 concert program
Original vintage concert program for American vibraphonist, pianist, percussionist, and bandleader Lionel Hampton’s two performances at the Emulation in Liege and the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels on Sunday, 20th March, 1955, presented by the Hot Club de Belgique. Two concerts on the same day in two different cities weren’t unusual back then, but with the show in Liege scheduled to start at 3 pm and the show in Brussels only five hours later the time schedule must have been tight.
In original, orange and black glossy pictorial wrappers designed by Nory, single staple bound, 21.6 x 27.3 cm, 8 pp. Program notes in French by Carlos de Radzitzky. Wrappers slightly rubbed, light wear to spine and extremities and the staple is a little rusty, else very good and clean without further markings. Additional photos available on request.
