November 1967 UK concert tour program
Original vintage concert program for the Stan Getz Quartet’s nationwide tour of Great Britain during November 1967, presented by Harold Davison. By this time the album Sweet Rain had just been released on the Verve label. Produced by Creed Taylor, it is arguably one of Getz’s all-time greatest albums and his first major artistic coup after he closed the book on his bossa nova period. Of the personnel on the album, only Chick Corea was part of the touring band, while Ron Carter and Grady Tate were replaced by Walter Booker and Roy Haynes.
In original orange and black pictorial uncoated wrappers, staple bound, 21.0 x 25.6 cm, 20 pp. Program notes by Benny Green. There is a faint vertical crease going down the middle, else near fine, tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
