Tokyo April 1963 concert flyer
Original first printing concert flyer advertising the George Shearing Quintet’s three performances in Tokyo [Japan] from 1st to 3rd April, 1963. Besides the leader himself, the quintet featured vibraphonist Gary Burton, guitarist John Gray, double bassist Bill Yancey, and drummer Vernel Fournier. Opening for Shearing on the entire Japanese was singer Ann Richards, former wife of Stan Kenton.
The flyer measures 25.8 x 18.2 cm and is beautifully printed in blue and black inks on thin, matte-coated paper stock.
