Palais des Expositions, Nice July 1972 concert program 


Original vintage concert program produced for Le Festival International de Jazz de Nice staged at the Palais des Expositions in Nice [France] from 18th to 24th July, 1972, presented by Norman Granz and Jacques Hebey in cooperation with le Comité Officiel des Fêtes de Nice. Performing artists at the festival included Ella Fitzgerald, Charlie Mingus Quintet, Modern Jazz Quartet, Oscar Peterson Trio, Max Roach Sextet, Sonny Grey Big Band, Wild Bill Davis Trio, and Jazz At The Philharmonic featuring Dizzy Gillespie, Roy Eldridge, Julian Cannonball Adderley, Sonny Stitt, Eddie Lockjaw Davis, Al Grey, Don Byas, and others. Ella Fitzgerald, accompanied by pianist Tommy Flanagan, bassist Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen, and drummer Ed Thigpen, performed on both 18th and 21st July.

In original pictorial matte-coated wrappers, staple bound, 20.9 x 26.5 cm, 44 pp. All text in French. Light wear to spine and extremiries, else in excellent condition, tightly bound and clean. Additional images of the program available on request.
