October 1958 UK concert tour program and ticket stub
Original vintage concert program for American composer, pianist and big band leader Duke Ellington’s October 1958 nationwide tour of Great Britain. Presented by Norman Granz in association with Harold Davison, the tour commenced at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 5th October and ended with two shows at the Gaumont State in Kilburn on 25th & 26th October, 1958. Original ticket stub for the concert at the Gaunt in Southampton on Thursday, 9th October, laid in.
In original red and black pictorial wrappers, staple bound, 21.0 x 26.7 cm, 20 pp. Program notes by Stanley Dance and Duke Ellington. Near fine, tightly bound and clean without any markings. Additional photos available on request.
