September/October 1960 UK concert tour program
Original vintage concert program for the Miles Davis Quintet’s Sept/Oct 1960 nationwide tour of Great Britain, presented by Harold Davison and Norman Granz, and with The Jazz Five also on the bill. This was Miles’ first visit to Britain with a Quintet that now featured Sonny Stitt, replacing John Coltrane, who had left at the end of the Spring 1960 European tour. The twelve-date tour commenced at the Gaumont in Hammersmith on 24th September and ended at the Gaumont State in Kilburn on 9th October.
In original yellow and black pictorial wrappers, staple bound, 20.7 x 26.7 cm, 20 pp. Program notes by Keith Goodwin. Near fine, tightly bound and clean without any markings. Additional photos available on request.
