Early 1970s Japanese Prestige Records promo poster
Large original first printing Miles Davis promotional poster issued by Prestige Records in the early 1970s. Miles recorded for Prestige during the 1950s and the early 1960s. Originally founded in 1949 by Bob Weinstock in New York City, Prestige Records was bought by Fantasy Records in 1971, who licensed Victor Music Industries to reissue select titles in Japan from their back catalog. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
