Messezentrum, Nuremberg October 1979 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising American rock band Boston at the Messezentrum in Nuremberg [Germany] on Saturday, 6th October, 1979, with Philip Bates’ Trickster as special guests. Presented by Lippmann+Rau in cooperation with Konzertbüro Hänsel, the Nuremberg show was the last stop on a ten-date German tour in support of the Don’t Look Back album. Produced by Tom Scholz at his own Hideaway Studio, the album was released in August 1978 on Epic Records. Primarily a vehicle of studio wizard Scholz, Boston had become one of the best selling groups of the late 1970s and was topping charts in both America and Europe, and was eventually awarded as the #1 Stadium and Festival Artist for 1979 by Billboard.
