1968 US Columbia Records promotional poster for “Blood, Sweat & Tears”

Original first printing Blood, Sweat & Tears promotional poster issued by Columbia Records in 1968 to promote the release of the Blood, Sweat & Tears album – the band’s second studio album, produced by James William Guercio, and released on 11th December 1968. It was the first album to feature singer David Clayton-Thomas. Containing the hit singles “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy”, “Spinning Wheel”, and “And When I Die”, the album was a huge commercial success and reached #1 on the Billboard 200 in February 1969. The album stayed 109 weeks on the charts (7 weeks at #1) and was certified 4x Platinum in April 2001 by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for sales exceeding four million copies in the US.

The poster measures 53.0 x 83.6 cm (approx. 20.9″ by 32.9″ inches) and is beautifully printed on medium-thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. In excellent unfolded condition.
