1985 Japanese Epic/Sony Inc. promo poster for “Flash”
Large original first printing Jeff Beck promotional poster issued by Epic/Sony Inc. in Japan in 1985 to promote the release of the Flash album – Beck’s fifth solo studio album, produced by Beck himself with Tony Hymas, Nile Rodgers, and Arthur Baker, and originally released on 8th July, 1985 on Epic Records. Containing the singles “People Get Ready” (featuring Rod Stewart on vocals) and “Gets Us All in the End”, the album reached #42 on the Billboard 200, and stayed on the charts for 8 weeks. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
The poster measures 59.4 x 84.0 cm (approx. 23.4″ by 33.1″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. Light sporadic edge and handling wear as well as light foxing (age related spots) to the bottom part of the poster. Else in near excellent unfolded condition.
