Sun Plaza Hall, Tokyo May 1983 concert flyer
Large original first printing double-sided concert flyer advertising Count Basie at the Sun Plaza Hall in Tokyo [Japan] on Monday, 16th May, 1983. The flyer also advertises the concerts at the NHK Hall and the Welfare Pension Hall in Tokyo on 1st and 2nd June, respectively. It was Basie’s last Japanese tour. He died of pancreatic cancer in Hollywood, Florida on 26th April, 1984, at the age of 79.
