November 1968 UK concert tour program
Original vintage concert program for Louis Armstrong’s November 1968 British tour, presented by Rik and John Gunnell by arrangement with Harold Davison, and with Kenny Ball’s Jazzmen also on the bill. With an ensemble that consisted of Tyree Glenn (trombone), George Catlett (bass), Danny Barcelona (drums), Joe Nuranyi (clarinet), Marty Napoleon (piano), and Jewel Brown (vocals), this was Armstrong’s final British tour.
In original red and black pictorial uncoated stapled wraps, 20.7 x 25.6 cm, 20 pp. Program notes by jazz critic Benny Green. There is a faint vertical crease down the middle of the program, else near fine, tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
